- Contact information: Phone numbers provided to access the passport, receive one-time login codes, prize drawing announcements, and communications about official partners. Phone numbers are encrypted in storage.
- Location data: Check-in coordinates (latitude/longitude) and timestamps collected via geocoding when you check in through the directory or by scanning a QR code, used to verify proximity to a participating location.
- Digital passport activity: Stamps and check-in history reflecting visits to establishments that are owned by, serve, or support Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in the Las Vegas Valley.
- Website analytics: General usage data, including pages visited, to improve the program and community insights.
- Donation receipts: Photo receipts submitted by participants requesting a physical passport keepsake, used solely to verify the $5 donation to an AANHPI nonprofit of their choice.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To verify eligibility — participation is open only to Clark County, Nevada residents who are 18 years of age or older.
- To send one-time login codes, prize drawing announcements, and communications about official partners via SMS. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
- To notify winners of prizes and coordinate in-person prize collection within 24 hours of notification.
- To verify check-in proximity via geocoding and enforce program rules (e.g., 4-hour cooldown between check-ins at the same location, daily non-partner check-in cap).
- To track digital passport participation and engagement.
- To verify donation receipts for physical passport keepsake eligibility.
- To monitor and improve the website and program experience.
- For long-term community analysis without personally identifiable information (PII).
3. Data Sharing
- Personal data is never sold.
- May be shared with official nonprofit partners for program administration (e.g., coordinating in-person prize collection).
- May be shared with service providers who support web app functionality.
- May be disclosed if required by law.
4. Data Retention
- Phone numbers: Deleted after the program ends (May 22, 2026) unless participants opt to archive their digital passport for potential future programs.
- Donation receipt photos: Reviewed solely for keepsake eligibility verification and not retained beyond that purpose.
- Check-ins, digital passport stamps, and website analytics: Retained long-term without PII for community analysis.
5. Partner and Participant Rights
- Users, including business and nonprofit owners/managers who become official partners, can request removal of non-publicly accessible data from the website, such as promotions, addresses, or owner/establishment labels (e.g., AANHPI-owned).
- Participants may request deletion of their personal information (phone numbers, check-ins linked to PII) at any time through May 22, 2026.
6. Security
- All personal information, including phone numbers and location data, is encrypted in storage.
- Reasonable technical measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access.
7. Updates
